Stolen from ~Me-MowTheCat's journal

Thought dA was bad before? Prepare for it to get a lot worse.
NOW they're making it easier for random assholes to get into your account! All they have to do is click "Forgot Password", then click "I don't have access to my email". For one thing, when you sign up, shouldn't you have access to your email in the first place? So why is that bullshit there? Now, all they have to do is type your current email, a NEW email address which could easily be set to some dickhead's email, then your birthdate, and here's the crazier part; There's a box that says "Name a Deviation you have recently stored/deleted". The thing is, that part isn't required. And once you've done all that, the mods send you a support ticket to the new email address, which could be set to the perpetrator's email address.
Spread the word. We're not going to take this shit any longer. It's time for a revolt, the mods WILL listen to us.
I suggest you make a journal about it, make it known that this idiotic practice could not and SHOULD not be allowed.

Btw,this is what the screen looks like: [link]

Why would the staff think that's a good idea... People hack accounts already, why make it easier for them??
(Also why would that button make any sense to the account user, shouldn't they remember their e-mail?)
